“Here is your phone, Miss Rivers…” My phone, which I had left in the suite the previous night before I arrived here, was handed to me by Ford.

He gave a slight bow before leaving, and as he did so, I used the fingerprint on my thumb to open my phone, only to find that I had missed calls from my father. A message came from mom and Rina, and they were all the usual morning greetings. They were still completely unaware of what had taken place with me.

I couldn’t help but frown as I found a text from an unfamiliar number.

I’m leaving for work, Miss Rivers. Please let my people know if you need anything. I hope you got a decent night’s sleep…
