Chapter 79. Good Morning
MICHELLE
My eyes flew across the room, taking in the various paintings of people, places, and objects. Devon Kai’s works were really amazing—I could almost feel the emotions in every piece of his art.
My feet came to a stop when I came across a painting depicting a corridor with many rooms off to the sides, and a boy was seen coming along the hallway with his head dipped down, as if he were trying to hide his face from everyone. The place was in Goldstein dorm, and I could say that the boy was me.
This was so heartbreakingly beautiful that it made me want to cry. I was taken aback by the abrupt mixture of happiness and melancholy that I felt.
On top of his autograph, which was located in the bottom right corner of his painting, something was written. It says there, ‘When I first met her.’
Simply glancing at this photo brought up so many emotions for me. Because his work conveyed such a range of feelings, Devon was unquestionably a talented artist.
