A week passed without any event. Chris never showed up again, and Alice was relieved. She didn’t want to deal with that person who disrupted her life. But since he vanished, Jocelyn had been asking for his contact number.

She had become so obedient that after a week, Alice stopped packing the food for her kid and looked at the girl making the bed before putting things inside her little bag. This had never happened before. Alice would do everything, from making the bed, cleaning up her clothes, to packing the bag. Jocelyn would always just tie her shoes and go out to wait for Alice in the living room.

But for a few days, the girl silently did everything without asking her mother for help. Alice would have assumed that her daughter had finally grown up if she didn’t know her intentions.
