Chapter 15
Chris and Alice finally came face-to-face as they stood in the room of the chief police of the department. Sparks seemed to be flowing between them as they stared at one another in anger. Both of them had different thoughts, but the anger remained the same, so much so that tension continued to build up in the entire room.
Even the old man standing on the side felt a layer of cold sweat forming on his forehead. He chuckled and said, “Mr. Chris Noris, I hope we didn’t offend you. Please, have a seat. We have no obligation to keep you locked up and investigate in the face of the newly found evidence.”
The other man ignored the old official’s words as he asked bluntly, “How much time?”
“Eh?” It took a while for the old officer to figure out what this guy was on about. He quickly called his subordinates and ordered, “Bring the files I told you about. Quick!”
