Chapter 16. Love Me Back

Becca's POV

In the early evening hours, we arrived at an island situated in the Caribbean Sea.

There were several houses there, clearly belonging to very wealthy people. We decided to move to Zane's place anyway. He explained that he was often away due to work obligations and so it was frequently occupied by vacationers throughout the year. However, lucky for us, it happened to be vacant and available for our use over the weekend.

We chose to use it this evening. As we made our way halfway there, a family emerged in the distance near one of the houses. We greeted them warmly and proceeded on our path. Zane’s house was an expansive split-level with an airy open concept design that united the kitchen and sitting room into a luminous, grand space while bedrooms were located on the upper floor. When we inspected the rooms, they appeared spacious with several beds available so we immediately decided to create men's and women's sleeping quarters.
