Becca's POV

It's nearly midnight, and I am lying on the bed with my hands behind my head, staring at the ceiling.

I reflect on the most challenging moments of my life. My wolf has already helped me recover swiftly from the injuries sustained in the car accident, but it's my heartbreak that still needs mending. The pain I felt when I saw the man I loved naked under the woman I took for a friend, is still raw.

It pierces my heart even more deeply than anything Elyon has ever done to me.

'Don't jump to conclusions,' Era's warning voice reminded me again. 'Talk to him first. Hear his side of the story,' she urged.
