Sophie's POV

Back to the present...

"That's enough," Ken said to me, but I wouldn't stop drinking; all my injuries healed up like some kind of magic; I felt nourished, which was strange; and I couldn't stop drinking his blood.

He pulled away his wrist, his eyes bright. "That did feel good," he admitted.

"Tell me about it."

"I didn't think you would like it that much."

"Neither did I; maybe I am a vampire after all," I said, joking, and we both chuckled.

There was a moment of silence, and he was the first to break it.

"I want you to know Sophie; I don't just see you as a blood bag; I really, really like you, and I'm ready to change if only you come back to me. I understood that he is your mate, so the choice is up to you, but from now until eternity, I will always love you; you will be the only one for me and even if you don't choose me, I would be waiting till you do", he confessed, and his words hit deep.
