Layla’s POV
I can’t believe I signed my entire inheritance over to this dipshit, who calls himself my husband. Looking up at Orion, the memory of that day played in my head like it was yesterday.
It was a summer afternoon, Orion had called me to his office to discuss some issues regarding the company. He said the company was on the brink of bankruptcy, and this was the only way to save it. And the only way was to sign my inheritance from my parents over to him.
I was quite taken aback by what he was suggesting, but I composed myself immediately.
He pleaded with me so much that it made my heart ache. He claimed it was for both of us and the future we would build together.
Out of love and naivety, I signed the papers before reassuring Orion that I would always be there for him and that he didn’t need to worry.
