Chapter 14. Please Don’t Be Dead

Ezra’s POV

I rushed to the beach, and once I was there, I began to frantically search for Chloe.

It didn’t take long for me to spot her as there weren’t many people on the beach. She was sitting on a beach chair under an umbrella.

Once I spotted her, I sighed in relief and bent over to catch my breath as she hadn’t seen me.

Once my breath had steadied, I rushed over to her only to meet a most disgusting sight. She noticed my presence almost immediately and sprang up from the seat as if it were on fire.

“Oh my God, Ezra. You came, I knew you would.” She said before throwing her arms around my neck, and engulfing me in a tight hug.

I was disgusted and uncomfortable with her behavior and dressing right now. Did she forget, or was she doing it intentionally?

No, it was intentional.

I immediately removed her hands from my neck, at first, she struggled to keep them around me, but I overpowered her and freed myself from her grasp.
