Chapter 40. Memories of a Loving Family
As far back as she can remember, Jeanne has always admired her mother, at least before she was 11 years old. Amanda and James her parents were happy, they lived a modest life of course but they were happy.
When she was little, her father, who was a construction worker, often came home late with a stiff body, her mother then massaged him promptly, making this habit a rite, but when he did not complain of discomfort. He thus chained the odd jobs to ensure that they always had enough to eat. It is from him that she gets this aggressiveness and this courage to face all the challenges of life.
Every evening, her father came home with a present even if her mother did not agree, she told him that he should not incur unnecessary expenses while their daughter should have the best school tools to ensure her a good life coming. She had at heart to make Jeanne an educated person who would succeed in life and could aspire to a better life than that of her parents.
