“Where’s Catherine?” Kace asked Newana the question we all wanted to ask. But keep that to ourselves, waiting for someone else to ask that question. Apparently, everyone had the same thing going on in their mind and kept quiet while eating breakfast.

I was smearing hazelnut spread on another piece of bread, whereas Vexon was eating the one I placed on his plate.

“She had to go back to her apartment. It was urgent. Some college assignment or something,” Newana answered.

No wonder why the other seat beside Vexon was empty. Beside Vexon, because I sat on my chair before he could sit. I didn’t want to talk to that Cat again.

Vexon seemed to notice that and he glared at me, but couldn’t swap seats as Cason was on his seat too. When Cason noticed that I sat on my seat, he hurried and sat on his one, before Vexon could even look at his seat. Orson followed Cason.

So this breakfast was going on peacefully. I kept another piece of bread on his plate,
