Ruby

As soon as the alarm rang, I let out, groggily, “Ugh. Why can’t I just get a few more minutes of sleep?”

I snoozed on the alarm I set on my phone and kept it back on the nightstand.

When and why did I even set an alarm?

Soon another alarm which I had set after a minute rang, making me groan. I picked up the phone again and was about to snooze it until my eyes fell on the time.

6:01 a.m.

I jolted up from my bed and ran towards the washroom to freshen up. Vexon woke up at 5:30 a.m. every day for his work out.

A gush of guilt-filled in me when I realized that I stopped performing yoga in the morning. Nonetheless, I made my way to the breakfast table.

I felt relieved when I saw everyone eating their breakfast while Vexon was reading some files and explaining it to them. His working time was 7 a.m.

I pulled a chair and all eyes snapped at me. “Good morning, everyone,” I greeted them.

“Look who is early today,” Newana commen
