Chapter 14. Ironic
I left them both in that amusing scene, unable to hold back my laughter as I stepped out of the house.
“Are we leaving now, ma'am?” Tina asked, a hint of confusion in her voice.
“Yes, Tina, let's go,” I replied, my laughter still bubbling just below the surface.My phone buzzed in my hand, interrupting our departure. I glanced down to see a call from Lana lighting up the screen.
“Hey, baby. I'm just about to order an Uber. I'll meet you in–”
“Look right in front of you,” Lana's voice cut through my phone, drawing my attention.Perplexed, I followed her instruction and was taken aback to find Lana standing there, beaming and waving at me. She had come to pick me up! Overwhelmed by the unexpected surprise, I grabbed my bags and eagerly made my way into her outstretched arms.
“Arrgh! It's only been a few hours since you left, but I felt so blue and tired. You're definitely my medicine, the best stress ball in the world!” Lana exclaimed, holding me tigh
