Chapter 74. Pinky Promise
"How is your wound?" I asked Dylan when I saw him wince in pain as he picked me up in his arm.
"It is fine," he responded curtly. I didn't inquire about him anymore since I knew he would not speak the truth.
Nonetheless, I locked my arms around his neck and nuzzled my head in the crook of his neck, hiding myself from the corpses that awaited me.
As we walked out of the room, I saw blood on the floor.
"Don't look," Dylan whispered immediately, and I nodded. "Yes, it was a success. Shirley is secured," Dylan informed Riley, who was connected through the micro earpiece.
"They said it was just three of you. Why just three? Where are the other men?" I asked him.
"Sienna warned all the men not to help me. Only Xavier and Adrian were willing to help. Riley was totally against it though. He came along nonetheless. He is waiting in the car. Xavier and Adrian are cleaning up the mess,” Dylan replied.
