Chapter 22

My next destination was my bed because we could both sit there and chat a bit. At some point I had to start my interrogation and it was best to do that immediately.

Gwen said, "I have bad news." That was never good and as I sat down I looked at her questioningly. Of course, I then pointed to the seat next to me so that she could sit her ass on that bed.

She came over and continued, "The king had to leave yesterday. There is some unrest and it needs to be sorted out."

Riots.

That probably means the hunters were causing trouble. This was something good and far from bad news. At least that's what my head was convinced of and I was happy to ignore my heart's opinion.

Gwen sat down next to me and said, "It's still unknown how long he's been away. Apparently there are several disturbances in different places. Quite a bit of chaos has broken out."

Either the hunters wanted revenge on me or had a suspicion that I was alive. I thought the first option
