Olivia's POV

I felt warm. For the first time since I've been here, I didn't feel cold like I had the last few nights while lying in bed. But not the kind of warmth that was uncomfortable. Not the kind of heat where you wanted to take off your clothes, where you wanted to let your body cool down.

No. It was a pleasant warmth. A warmth that enveloped me and flowed through my entire body. I felt it from my toes to my head, and contrary to my expectations, I enjoyed it. I enjoyed the feeling she caused in me. The feeling of security. The feeling of safety. It felt like home. As if I had finally arrived.

So I closed my eyes again and tried not to think about where this warmth was coming from or what its origin was. I just wanted to enjoy it. Absorb the moment. Feel good. Something I haven't been able to do for ages. But when I felt a steady breeze on my neck, my eyelids opened again, and all of a sudden, the feeling of relaxation was swept away.
