Chapter 13
Five days had passed. Ryeon was sitting in the same chair that he had been alternating his nights of sleep with. He was flipping through a random book that Mark had insisted on bringing, knowing that Park wouldn't budge from there until his mother opened her eyes.
"Good morning," the usual nurse entered the ICU. Ryeon smiled at her, lowering the book and watching her arrange some medicines that needed to be administered intravenously to his mother.
"When will she wake up?" he asked.
The woman looked up, suppressing a small smile. That was the same question as always, and there was no other answer but the usual one: "We are hoping it will be soon."
Ryeon sighed, leaning back in the chair. His eyes exuded exhaustion. His skin was still bruised and purple, and because of that, he got a medical certificate that protected him from classes and work for two weeks. However, he didn't know what he would do if, during those days,
