Chapter 20
"Do working a thirty-six-hour shift not leave you exhausted?" Ryeon finished packing some last things into cardboard boxes. The house still gave him shivers, but his old room strangely brought him peace. He looked at Cely nodding in response to his question.
"At first, it was really tough, I was constantly sleepy. Actually, I still am a bit, but I've gotten used to it."
"It must be stressful too, right?"
"Very much so. Yesterday, I had a woman in labor for twenty-two hours; I felt sorry for her every time she screamed in pain, but in the end, it turned out well."
"Did the little baby melt your heart?" Ryeon laughed, closing the box and sealing it with adhesive tape.
"Babies always melt hearts, but seeing her well is what really made me happy."
"Have you ever seen any bizarre cases at the hospital?"
"Not many, but once I saw a man who came into the emergency room
