Chapter 57

A house was quiet, which surprised her.

"Mama?" she called. "Daddy?"

"Oh, what if they are the ones dating?" Ryeon said, making Lucy widen her eyes.

Lucy was startled by the noise that came from inside the closet, which was just below the stairs where they kept some old things like Christmas decorations they never used and other junk. She looked at Ryeon, who covered his laughter with his hand in front of his mouth.

"Do you think..."

"I do!"

"They?"

"Both of them!"

"Oh my goodness!"

Ryeon laughed loudly, having fun.

Just as they turned to leave the house, the closet door opened, and Lucy widened her eyes, seeing her mother wrapped in a dusty Christmas towel with only her father's face over her shoulder.

Both disheveled and with smiles that gave everything away.

"I can't believe this!" the girl exclaimed, turning h
