Chapter 64
They proceeded to the checkout, and the cashier asked for the ID of the person who would buy the alcohol. Ryeon proudly handed over his ID. There was a little argument about who would pay the bill, but once again, Ryeon had to give in when Lucy insisted and gave him half the money.
"I told you the trip was my gift to you," Lucy said.
"But it won't hurt to let me help. Stop being stubborn."
"I'm stubborn?"
"Just a little."
Ryeon laughed, following her to a taxi stand.
When they finally arrived at the mountain, they faced the steep ascent.
"How are we going to climb with all these groceries and luggage?" Lucy asked.
"Don't they fit in the suitcase?"
"Not in mine."
"Nor in mine..." They looked at the mountain again. "I have an idea."
Lucy watched Ryeon place the suitcase on the ground and take out a pair of running shoes that were inside.
"Why did you bring those?"
"In case we want to go hiking or something."
