Chapter 49

Ryeon sat next to Lucy, and she huddled under the blanket, looking at him with a smile as big as his.

"I missed you," Ryeon said right away, sitting close to her.

Lucy felt Ryeon's fingers touch hers.

"Me too," she replied softly. "Where have you been?"

"I've been looking for a job," Ryeon said, smiling and looking at their hands touching. He played with her fingers, and she reciprocated.

"Did you find one?"

"Not yet, but my mom said I might get something at a diner a few blocks away from here. The salary isn't great, but it will help us."

"And college?"

"I submitted my application today. If all goes well, I'll be a student at PNU next semester."

"That's a great choice, oppa," Lucy smiled, but it was still strange to know that if everything went well, she and Ryeon would soon be far away from each other.

"
