Chapter 38

Everything seemed to be a mess. As Lucy stared at her tired reflection in the mirror, she wondered when was the last time she had slept for more than five hours during that first week of work.

"You look terrible," Jaesun pointed out the obvious.

Lucy yawned and finished getting dressed.

"I just haven't gotten used to the routine yet," she said, grabbing some makeup.

Jaesun sat on the edge of the girl's bed and watched her cover the faint dark circles under her eyes with concealer. Lucy was wearing high-waisted pants made of lightweight, loose fabric. Her V-neck blouse was tucked in, and just like the belt, she had tied a white silk scarf with subtle designs around her neck.

"Is that bag new?" Jaesun picked up the object beside him and inspected it. "It's so small."

"Yeah, but it's an authentic Chanel. It's not new, but I managed to buy it for a really good price on that site whe
