The flashes of the professional photographers' cameras outside the salon Jen had rented were visible from meters away. As the car entered the street, Lucy felt an absurd chill in her stomach upon realizing that. She should have been at the party already; Jen was furious with her for not being there by her side and also by Harry's side. However, Lucy couldn't just ruin her own plans. She was prepared to listen to the absurdities that her boss would undoubtedly say to her.
