Leila heard Duncan’s voice – as he called the eerie masked man, who was entering the prison cell right now.

But he simply ignored his adoptive son – as if his words flew into thin air.

Because his attention was solely to her.

Leila pursed her lips together – as she tried to let out her breath slowly.

He was looking intently at her – and that only creeped her out so much. Especially when she met his eyes. Those familiar black orbs.

‘How could I ever forget? Why didn’t I see it before? Why didn’t I notice it? Freaking hell!’ Leila thought inside her head.
