I know Jay’s on patrol and it’s a relief not to have to face him as soon as I walk through the door. I make quick work of my shower and getting dressed. I want comfy so I go with black and white stripe shorts and a matching top and a simple pair of white flip-flops. I put my hair in two braids, a touch of Mascara, and a dap of lipgloss and I’m ready to go just in time as Alex links me letting me know he’s out front when I’m ready. I let him know I’ll be right down and grab my bag off the bed just as Jay walks in the door, great!

“Where are you going?” He looks angry as usual.

“I need to run to Walmart for a few things. Do you need anything?”
