“Ria? Are you awake?” Alexander asked when he entered the room and saw her lying on the bed with her eyes closed. Was she already asleep? So soon?

“Ria? Sweetheart?” Alexander murmured before sighing loudly as he sat down beside her.

Placing his hand on her forehead, he smiled when he heard her heart racing—a clear indication that she was definitely not asleep. He leaned forward to press a gentle kiss to her brow.
