Chapter 15. Became Dinner Overnight!
Victoria’s POV
Sipping on my milkshake monotonously, I gazed outside the window toward the forest, silently. The trees were swaying in the wind, which had picked up its pace along with the clouds. The clouds looked like they were traveling, occasionally hiding the crescent-shaped moon and making it dark everywhere.
We both—Daniel and I—had been sitting in silence since Alexander stormed out of the room. It was a comfortable silence nonetheless. Well, that’s what I had been telling myself for the past ten minutes. It was turning into more of a consolation now, a way to convince myself that it didn’t affect me how Alexander said those words or how he stormed out.
