Chapter 45. I Feel Like Laila Is Scheming
Alexander’s POV
“Hey, Dad. Yeah, I understand that. I’ll be going to the prom tonight. Don’t worry, I have a date. No, it’s not Laila. Okay, I’ll tell you the details later. I’m going to be late if I keep talking to you,” I said before ending the call.
Now, don’t get me wrong. You guys probably think it was rude of me to cut the call like that, but I did it for his own good. I didn’t want to disrupt his vacation. Besides, they’ll be back tomorrow anyway, and I can tell them all about Victoria when I introduce her to them.
Checking my reflection in the mirror one last time, I grabbed my car keys so I could go pick Victoria up from her house. On my way there, I couldn’t resist picking up a bouquet of red roses to hint at my feelings.
