Victoria’s POV

“I, Victoria Carla Gibberson—” I started. However, before I could utter the words I had been aiming to say since last month, a large hand clamped over my mouth, stopping me from saying anything further.

“I think we need to talk alone about this, Victoria. Yeah? Let’s not talk about it right now. Please?” Alexander said, his eyes glistening with unshed tears.

It broke my heart to see him like this, but I wanted to say those words so we could finally get past this phase and be done with it.
