Chapter 38. A Naughty Assistant

Klaud Anderson couldn't get rid of the thought of the beggar who suddenly appeared on the road. He knew there was something wrong with him and he possessed the hallowed tattoo.

"Hey, what's bothering you? My head began to hurt seeing you walking back and forth," spoke Dianna who held and caressed her temple.

A couple of hours had passed since they arrived at the office. He came from an urgent meeting with the head doctors of the hospital.

He stopped, rubbed the back of his head as he thought of an alibi. He was not prepared to take the risk and tell her what truly bothered him.

Klaud gasped, leaned back at the wall, and looked at her. "Nothing, I... I was thinking about having dinner with you and Dianne, like what I've said earlier."
