Chapter 27. Heartbreak

Sunny's POV

I just ran and ran until my feet felt weak, and I had no choice but to stop and sit on a bench near the playground where I used to go whenever I wanted to be alone. 

‘Mom, Dad, Henry, and I are already engaged.’

I could still recall how Mira said that with a huge smile on her face. On their faces. 

They were already getting married. Henry was getting married…

Tears kept on running down my face, I tried to wipe them away, but they just won’t stop. Getting married? Why? Why did they have to get married? I didn't understand… I didn't want Henry to get married… I loved him…

“Sunny…”

I quickly stood up upon hearing my sister’s voice. I was about to walk away from her, but she was able to grab my hand. “Sunny, why are you running away? Are you mad? Do you still love Henry?”

“I-I just want to be alone. P-Please leaves me alone.” I said.

“Do you think I didn’t notice it? You’ve been avoiding me these past few days.
