Cassa stared at her phone, there was not a single message from Alano. It was already late at night, but Alano hadn’t come home or told her why he wouldn’t be coming home tonight.

Feeling anxious, Cassa took the initiative to contact her husband first.

“Where is he? His phone can’t even be reached at all. Could something have happened to him?” Cassa asked softly. She was very worried about the fact that she couldn’t reach Alano since this morning.

Cassa appeared to be pacing back and forth to the living room several times to check if Alano had come home or not, but there were no signs of Alano in the house.

Cassa decided to call Alano’s office number, she was certain that someone would answer if she called the office number.

“Hello, Mr. Gilbert. Is Mr. Alano still there?” Cassa asked when she got the chance to talk to Alano’s secretary when Gilbert answered the call.

Yes, Gilbert was indeed the closest person to Alano, if Alano was working overtime
