Barcelona
I just realized that we were making our way out of the arena. My tears were still flowing, but I also wiped them violently. I don’t want Nicholas to see me crying, but I really can’t stop.
“Fuck! I’m going to kill that man!” Nicholas couldn’t help but say. How tight he held the steering wheel as if he wanted to twist in anger.
I bravely held his hand to soothe the anger he was feeling. “Sorry, I don’t want you to worry,” I said in between sobs.
He didn’t answer but could barely hear his gnashing teeth. I sighed in pain. I just closed my eyes firmly and let him drive, which I was sure had no direction.
Eventually, our car stopped in a park. Even though it was dark in the area, a few light poles illuminated some of the banks.
