Chapter 18

Cody had a lovely time with Sir Nelson. They also challenged each other in chess and as expected Cody won like his mother. Nelson had to admit the family was filled with Mahogany Chess Titans.

Nelson left and Cody accompanied him to the gate. He kissed Sarah on the cheek and promised to visit the next day. He also told Cody he would be the one coming to class next and no longer the assistant teacher.

Cody was having a hard time but it seems life was just meant to be that way for him always. While he was having a good time something bad was just lurking around the corner.

What could he do, he was just a sea of heartbreaks. Someone who has lost love and embraced loneliness due to a curse that was placed on him. He went up to his room to seat and have some quiet time with himself.

Just while he was trying to enjoy the moment Martin showed up in his room. Although he was not startled, he still hoped that someday Martin would just make a mistake and use the door.
