It surprised him what I said earlier. “When did he tell you?”

I nodded my head. “Just now. After you called earlier, he called me and asked me to meet him. Since we won’t meet next Saturday I decided to just accept his offer.”

His face looked disappointed when I said that. 

In my heart, I felt a little regret for accepting Harris’ offer without discussing it with Dominik first.

I clenched his hand back and looked straight at him.

“What’s going on? Why are you silent?”

He turned his face the other way, trying to avoid my eyes. “No, it’s nothing.”

His face looked even more agitated, and he bit his lower lip. I want to laugh at his expression.

I tried to stare at him, but he still kept avoiding me. “Oh, I get it now. You are worried that I will spend the night with Harris. Am I right?”
