Chapter 7. Harvey's Reluctant Lover
Harvey woke up when the alarm clock struck six-thirty in the evening.
He reached out to turn off the alarm from the clock shaped like a rooster, then went to the glass door and pulled the curtain to look down on the glittering city with thousands of lights shimmering like stars.
From the day Harvey managed the Star Corporation on behalf of Samson, his day began at five in the morning.
He went to the company at that hour to avoid the sun. When the sun went down, he returned home. Everything in the corporation is handled by him in a closed room and Bonita Roberts is the one to support him in everything.
Similar to Samson's relationship with Aurora's family, Hervey's relationship with Bonita's family lasted for generations because he lived for two thousand years.
Hervey had to disguise his appearance as he aged over time and when a certain time came, the person assigned to help him in the Roberts family would make a death notice and funeral for him.
