Chapter 34. Amara’s Past

ALESSANDRO

“Calm down, Mother,” I said as I walked out of Victoria’s room with my phone on my ear and into my room.

“Calm down, you say? What are you turning into Alessandro?” my mother scolded me over the phone.

“I have everything under control, mother. Trust me,” I tried to soothe her worries as I discarded my black shirt and sat on my bed.

“No, you clearly don’t! You’re expecting another child with a random girl and I have to find out through the news? I’m offended Alessandro! I’m your mother! When will you stop getting every female you encounter pregnant?!” she scolded me like a child.

“Forgive me mother, I’ve been caught up with a lot of things lately. These days I’ve had a lot to deal with,” I said feeling a migraine creeping in while I lay down on my bed in exhaustion.

The past events have worn me out. I haven’t slept well and I can’t remember when I last ate.

“Clearly she’s giving you a lot to deal with! Who is this woman Alessandro?
