Chapter 50. Handcuffed

“Is this a private courtship or can I join?” Alessandro’s voice came from the doorway as I immediately scooted away from beside Valentino on the bed.

I made a very obvious space between the two of us.

“We were only talking, Alessandro. Don’t start shit up,” Valentino said as he rose to his full height.

“Ahhh, start shit up, Valentino? If I heard correctly, you were just admiring my wife’s beauty just now. Care to explain that to me, brother?” he asked Valentino folding his arms in a threatening way as Valentino did not seem fazed in the slightest way.

I noticed that about Valentino. He was not afraid of anyone, not even Alessandro. He was always calm even in the face of danger.

“We were just having a harmless conversation. I was just getting to know Victoria, that’s all. She’s pretty, of course I would compliment her,” Valentino said, waving his hands in the air in an exasperated manner.

“It had better be just that, Valentino.”
