Chapter 26. Downward Spiral

Elsie's POV

This had been the first time Oris had stayed overnight with me, and the sensation of having someone in bed next to me felt unusual. It was something I could get used to, but right now I found it difficult to sleep.

Laying on my back, I had given up on sleep hours ago. I listened to the birds chirping outside as the sun began to rise, the low light seeping through my curtains, lighting up my room just enough my eyes could study the silhouettes of furniture in my room. 

My mind felt like it was on overdrive, I couldn't help but think that something was off about Oris last night. He was a great lover, but he was usually so sensual and gentle with me. This time Oris was rough and dominating. Not that I didn't enjoy it, because I really had.
