Chapter 83. A Dream
It was over two hours since they walked out of the penthouse, and sat on the bench at the park.
She had kept her pain all to herself and hadn't talked ever since she stopped crying. In short, it took Jackson over half an hour to console Gladys until she stopped crying, and they didn't care about what Alfred had said about reporting them for trespassing. They had stayed in the penthouse for more than half an hour.
Jackson glanced at Gladys who was looking blankly. Anyone who sees her at that moment will almost think she's a widow, and Jackson lets her sit in silence, not distracting her thoughts until she calls him and he is sharp enough to answer.
