I walked into the café just to grab a quick iced latte and a sandwich. I’d been running errands all morning and my stomach was screaming at me. The last thing I expected was some crazy shit to go down.

Then I heard it.

“Babe! Sweetheart! Come over here!”

I froze mid-step. What the fuck? I turned around slowly and there was Lincoln — that annoying, rich rockstar dude — waving at me like I was his baby.

My brain short-circuited for a second. Shocked? Yeah. Confused as hell? Absolutely. But lowkey… it kinda felt good hearing him call me babe like that in public. Still, what the actual fuck was going on?

I noticed the girl sitting across from him, all dolled up, clearly on a date. Probably a blind date I guessed. I wasn’t stupid. So I played along
