Chapter 99. Not Just Friends

Emma’s POV

Just as I was about to press her for more answers, a trio of handsome faces appeared before me, interrupting the tense moment. Bennett, Hunter, and Parker, my mates and confidants, approached with warm smiles.

“Hey, beautiful! How are you feeling?” Bennett asked, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he leaned in to kiss my lips softly.

Hunter followed suit, his kiss gentle and sweet. “We’ve been worried about you, Em. Glad to see you’re doing okay.”

Parker, the last of the trio, kissed my lips with a tender smile. “You’re looking lovely today, Emma. We’re here for you, always.”

My heart swelled with affection for them, feeling grateful for their timely interruption. I smiled, trying to brush off the lingering questions about my father. “I’m doing alright, guys. Thanks for checking in.”
