Chapter 114. I've Missed You (2)

Drake's POV 

I guess that is why she sounds so pissed, she thinks I’m just being naughty as I ignored her calls, she has no idea that I am risking my life out here, trying to save our family. I listened to them chattering and whining that I abandoned my wife when she needed me the most, then I asked them to hand the phone to Mia, and my mom told me they couldn’t give her the phone because they were not close to her. She is napping in her room, while they all left to have a quick dinner before she could wake up. 

I pleaded with mom to stall the others for a bit while I spend a few minutes with her alone. I know her father's condition is still unstable because he has not been transferred to the hospital that can handle his case.

He needs to be back here on time so he can lie down comfortably on his hospital bed. I can’t keep him out there for too long, simply because I want to make up for the lost time. I needed to see the doctor as well,
