“Nothing happened…” she murmured softly, hiding her face from me, feeling guilty and ashamed.

I guess she doesn’t know the extent I can go to protect her and have her all to myself. I knew she was lying, there is no way she would have an affair with my brother, I mean, she dated the guy for over a year, and she never let him touch her. Why would she want to screw him now?

I knew she wouldn’t dare to hurt me that way. I got pissed because her words reminded me of Riley’s threats to me. He claimed she belongs to him, and he said he would take her back from me. I know he was right when he said that he knew her better than I did, his words created this mental image of them being together.
