Chapter 39. Misunderstandings
After returning from work, Joel still wants to pick up Primrose as usual and receives a message from Primrose saying that she will go for a walk with Nancy, then visit Nancy's house and go to the bar in the evening. Joel, of course, has no opinion about Primrose going to the bar, but the obvious alienation in Primrose's every gesture worries Joel.
In the end, what happened? Or, inadvertently, did he accidentally do something to anger Primrose, making her now not want to contact him or even want to breathe the same atmosphere with him?
