Lisa's POV

Alex and I walk up the stairs, hand in hand. Once we enter the room, I immediately collapse onto the bed as he begins to prepare for bed.

His eyes widen and he speeds to my side, "What? What's happening?"

I shake my head and continue, "It's quiet, Alex. Too quiet."

His shoulders drop and he shakes his head, "I thought something was seriously wrong!"

"Where's Adam?" I question, my heart rate spiking.

"In his room." Alex replies in a duh tone, "I don't know."

"I don't think that he's in his room." I mutter, "I can normally sense him. I don't feel anyone in that room. Now that I think about it, I haven't seen Adam in quite a few days."

Alex rolls his eyes and snaps, "That doesn't mean anything. Maybe he went back to his pack."

"No Alex, you don't understand." I huff, "That man has been glued to my arm for the past month and now all of a sudden he's gone? Especially when he claims that he wants to protect
