Only Him - 58. The Demons

Lisa's POV

Panic strikes my core as I watch Alex's head fall to the side. I knew he wasn't dead, but it wouldn't be long before he was. He appears to be losing strength.

"Why are you doing this!" I screech, pulling against the invisible restraints. All my effects are futile. 

"I  told you before, Lisa." The demon bellows, "I have my orders and I must abide by them. I was ordered to kill the threat and here I am, killing the threat."  They sees Alex as a threat as he was my mate.  

She snickers as she turns towards Alex. A scream leaves my lips as she tightens the chains around him and a cry of pain leaves his lips unconsciously. It feels that my heart is torn in two. If your mate is harmed it feels as if someone has driven a stake through your body.
