Chapter 28
Under the bridge where Rima had been sleeping for a while, the girl woke up to the voice of someone calling her name while laughing. As soon as she opened her eyes, she found Kamal trying to wake her up and Zakaria angrily pulling him back by his clothes while saying:
“I didn’t tell you to wake up the girl.”
Kamal said, “She has to get up so she can go to Uncle Farouk’s library for an hour before we return to the garbage dump.”
Zakaria said, “I know that, but she is tired. Let her sleep, and tomorrow she will go there and study a little.”
The girl got up and forgot that she was only wearing Zakaria’s shirt, who was standing bare-chested, then she stood between them, and Zakaria’s looks almost killed her from anger, but Kamal turned around laughing.
I said, “Calm down. I’m awake, but I won’t study today. I’ll go back to work with you for a little while before we go to the president. Why is he laughing?”
Zakaria said with anger, trying to conceal it
