I looked around and saw that all the pictures of Gauravi were replaced with Tami's pictures.
Who did that?
And when?
Obviously, she must have done that.
I didn't bother to look at the glass shards on the floor; my eyes were instead fixed on the countless pictures of Tami adorning the walls of the room. Each one felt like a slap in the face, a painful reminder that his world was being forcibly rearranged against my will.
"How can you even ask that? Of course, I am hurt, but how does it matter to anyone?" My voice was sharp, cutting through the air with the bitterness of my resentment. How could she not understand the depth of my agony? Or perhaps she did, and that made her insistence on this charade of marriage even worse.
