I noticed how he always carried an extra umbrella for Gauravi if it rained, or how he'd save a seat for her during school events. My heart sank every time I saw him care for her so deeply, knowing she didn't feel the same.

Days turned into weeks, and I found myself looking forward to those group study sessions at our place more than anything else. I'd linger around the living room, hoping to catch a glimpse of Mihir before they left.
